After the Indianapolis Colts transition tagged quarterback Daniel Jones today, wide receiver Alec Pierce is now in line to test the free agency market on March 11th.

Worst case scenario, the Colts quite possibly lose both Pierce and Jones to teams who offer them more money than the Colts can/will match. Additionally, quarterback Anthony Richardson is already prepared to depart from the franchise, as he and the team agreed that a trade for a new beginning would be good for Richardson's career.

With all that chaos ensuing, the Houston Texans now face a reality in which the AFC South could very well be a two-team race (them and the Jacksonville Jaguars) before the season even begins.

Last season, the Jaguars went 13-4, the Texans went 12-5, the Colts went 8-9 and the Tennessee Titans went 3-14.
