Amidst a front-office overhaul and roster reset, Tennessee continues its aggressive rebuilding phase under Robert Saleh to climb out of the AFC South basement before 2026.
The Tennessee Titans are going through a transitional period as a franchise.
We've already seen a front office move be made with the resignation of Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker.
Brinker represented what was a long line of changes for the franchise. It started with Jon Robinson, who was fired after his gamble in the 2022 NFL Draft to trade A.J. Brown didn't pay off.
Ran Carthon followed as General Manager, and wasn't much better. He handed out massive contracts to Lloyd Cushenberry, L'Jarius Sneed, Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard.
Pollard and Ridley are the only ones left on the team.
Mike Vrabel was fired after the 2023 season and was replaced by Brian Callahan. Callahan didn't last two seasons before being fired.
Now, the Titans have head coach Robert Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi. More changes were announced per Titans insider Jim Wyatt on Monday.
There was one new hire and 17 promotions. The new hire was Shepley Heard, who is going to be an area scout.
Here are the 17 promotions.
- Lauren Antle, Performance Dietitian
- Cam Baker, Associate Athletic Trainer
- Mike Boni, Director of College Scouting
- Kaylee Connors, Manager of Football Communications
- Kieren Gilbert, Coordinator of Team Operations
- Nick Hardesty, Director of Team Operations
- Nicole Kesten, Football Chief of Staff
- Alex Cline, Pro Scout
- Geo Leins, Area Scout
- Travis McDaniel, Coordinator of Football Comunications
- Kevin Perez, Executive Assistant to the GM
- Lauren Silvio, Director of Performance Nutrition
- Wes Slay, National Scout
- Clay Taylor, Associate Athletic Trainer
- Kristen Van Iderstine, Coordinator of Player Personnel
- Bryce Wasserman, Football Counsel/Head of Football Research
- Patrick Woo, Manager of College/Pro Scouting
On top of the front office changes, the Titans overhauled the roster.
Wan'Dale Robinson, John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott were the biggest acquisitions. It's hard to find a player the team brought in this offseason that doesn't have ties to Saleh or offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Titans selected Ohio State Carnell Tate, Auburn edge rusher Keldric Faulk, Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., Arkansas guard Fernando Carmona, Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton, Baylor defensive tackle Jackie Marshall, Indiana center Pat Coogan and Oklahoma tight end Jaren Kanak.
Besides the roster changes, the franchise is still in the midst of building its new stadium next door. The Titans introduced new uniforms and logo designs for the 2026 season, taking inspiration from the Houston Oilers.
It's a new era of Titans football, but these changes are nothing new for a team that is trying to get out of the basement after consecutive 3-14 seasons.
