Tennessee desperately seeks its first win under Robert Saleh as key playmakers Tyjae Spears and Cor’Dale Flott face game-time decisions for a high-stakes road clash in New York.
If a couple more plays went the Tennessee Titans' way last Sunday, they would be 1-1.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and they are now 0-2 and go on the road in Week 3 to take on the New York Giants. The Titans took a 20-17 lead with 1:56 left in the game, which gave the Philadelphia Eagles' offense too much time to score.
Jalen Hurts delivered the dagger to Darius Cooper in the back of the end zone, securing a 24-20 loss for the Titans.
Now, the Titans must shift focus to the New York Giants after coming so close to the first win of the Robert Saleh era.
Wednesday's injury report featured many new faces compared to previous ones. James Williams Sr. and Cor'Dale Flott were the only returning players. Daniel Bellinger, Fernando Carmona, Marcus Harris, Micah Robinson, Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears and Solomon Thomas were all new.
Luckily for the Titans, no one was ruled out on Friday. The only players listed as questionable on the final injury report were Flott and Spears.
Flott was questionable leading up to Week 2's game as well.
Saleh was confident that Flott would be able to play, but he was eventually ruled out. Flott's quad issues began Thursday before the Eagles game, and the head coach gave him the day off to help him recover in time for Sunday.
Flott was a late addition to the Week 2 injury report. He was able to participate in all three days of practice this week but was limited. It appears he will be a game-time decision.
Spears and Pollard wound up on the injury report due to ankle soreness that carried over from Sunday. Pollard didn't participate on Wednesday and was able to practice in a limited capacity on the final two days.
Pollard doesn't carry an injury designation. However, Spears does, and we'll have to see if he gets cleared for Week 3. Spears is questionable with the same ankle issue.
The good news is that a lot of the players listed on the injury report didn't carry a designation. Carmona (shoulder), Bellinger (illness), Harris (shoulder), Robinson (groin), Thomas (knee) and Williams (elbow) are all good to go for Sunday.
Williams was on the Week 2 injury report and couldn't suit up for the game due to his injury. It looks like he has made a full recovery and will be able to play.
It's good that the Titans are getting Carmona, Bellinger, Harris, Robinson, Thomas and Williams back, as all are important players in their own right.
For Flott, getting cleared would mean he could reunite with his former team. Flott played for the Giants from 2022-25 before joining the Titans in free agency this offseason.
Hopefully, Spears will be able to play. He hasn't played a full season due to injury since his rookie year. The running back appeared in 12 games in 2024 and 13 in 2025.
As it stands, the Titans have two players who will be game-time decisions. Kickoff is at noon CT on Sunday via CBS.
