A sudden training camp exit leaves Tennessee’s offensive line vulnerable, forcing a roster of unproven backups to step up if the franchise’s left tackle stability vanishes again.

The Tennessee Titans had an injury to a key starter on Tuesday at practice.

Left tackle Dan Moore Jr. left practice and was helped by a trainer to the locker room. Titans head coach Robert Saleh discussed the injury at Tuesday's press conference and said he didn't have any updates on the exact injury, but would have more information on Wednesday.

It's been hard for the Titans to find a reliable left tackle since Taylor Lewan retired after the 2022 season.

There was Andre Dillard in 2023. He joined the Titans on a three-year, $29 million deal and was gone before the second year of that contract.

The Titans then put J.C. Latham at left tackle, which wasn't the position he played in college at Alabama, as he had more experience at right tackle.

Tennessee then signed Moore in free agency in 2025 and signed him to a four-year, $82 million contract. Latham moved back to right tackle, and Moore played left tackle last season.

If you were to ask Titans fans how they felt about Moore's play so far, you would probably get similar answers.

Moore played in 16 games for the Titans last season, missing one due to a neck injury he suffered during the Cleveland Browns game in Week 15.

Moore was on the field a lot for the Titans, but that doesn't mean he was good. Moore had an overall PFF grade of 61.9, which was ranked 62nd out of 89 tackles last year.

He hasn't lived up to his contract yet, but the Titans better hope this injury is minor because the players behind him aren't great either. It can always get worse before it gets better.

Let's take a look at the backup tackles on the Titans' roster after the first week of training camp.

There's Austin Deculus, who has played in 26 games with six starts. How bad was his PFF grade? He actually did worse than Moore, which is hard to do.

Deculus was the lowest-ranked tackle last year, coming at No. 89. He played for the Los Angeles Chargers and started five games. I think we can see why he wasn't the full-time starter.

There are undrafted free agents Rasheed Miller and Aamil Wagner, who haven't played a snap of NFL football.

The Titans did sign Zachary Thomas to add depth at tackle. He's played for the Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots and Houston Texans. Thomas has 17 games under his belt, but he has zero starts.

Crenshaw-Dickson is back with the Titans. He's played in only four games, with one start, at the professional level so far.

Moore has not yet lived up to the contract he signed with the Titans, but it can always be worse. If this injury is serious, the Titans might be back to the point they were at when Dillard was around.

Moore isn't a perfect left tackle, but he's all the Titans have right now. If he goes down with an injury during the regular season, the depth at the position will be tested.

From what I've gathered so far, there's not much depth to go on. Titans fans better hope that Moore is back in action very soon.
