As Tennessee’s season slides, Tony Pollard emerges as a high-value trade chip. Contenders eyeing the star running back could spark a bidding war for the productive veteran.

The Tennessee Titans are heading into another trade deadline with a losing record.

This usually means that teams are going to try to call them for some of their better players.

The Titans are 0-4 after Sunday's 24-18 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The trade deadline is a little over one month away, on Nov. 10.

The Titans dealt a few players at the deadline last year. They traded away cornerbacks Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and Roger McCreary for draft capital. Pass rusher Dre-Mont Jones came in third on the team with 4.5 sacks and was traded to the Ravens.

There's no doubt other teams will call about the Titans' players. ESPN's Adam Schefter highlighted a Titans player on a recent edition of "The Pat McAfee Show."

Schefter listed five players he thought would be worth watching at the deadline. He chose Khalil Mack, Marvin Harrison Jr., Tony Pollard, Jerry Jeudy and Josh Sweat.

With Pollard, the Titans are in an interesting situation. He's in the final year of his contract, and they may be motivated to trade him to see what kind of return they could get.

"Tony Pollard, similar situation to Khalil Mack, where he's in the last year of his contract," Schefter said. "So, if there's a team in the next month, whoever that is, that all of a sudden needs a running back on a winning team, a contender loses a running back. To me, the first team they're gonna call is Tennessee."

Pollard is in the last year of his three-year, $21.75 million contract. He was one of the four major free-agent signings by former General Manager Ran Carthon. Carthon brought in Lloyd Cushenberry, L'Jarius Sneed, Calvin Ridley and Pollard.

Cushenberry and Sneed are no longer with the organization after significant injury issues during their two years in Music City. Ridley got off to a good start with a 1,000-yard season in 2024, but has fallen off and doesn't even look like the same player.

Pollard is really the only one of those moves that's worked out so far. He's had 1,000-yard seasons in 2024 and 2025. He is the only active player besides Derrick Henry to have four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

After four games, it's been a slow start for Pollard. The Titans have struggled to run the ball at times. Pollard leads the team with 221 rushing yards and just scored his first touchdown of the year against the Ravens on Sunday.

There's still plenty of time for Pollard to hit the 1,000-yard mark. The Titans' offensive line has improved significantly compared to previous seasons under offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.

They have allowed just two sacks so far.

Pollard is the epitome of consistency at running back. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that, and Pollard sticks around for the rest of the season.

Tyjae Spears hasn't been very reliable with his injury history in the last few seasons. Behind Spears are rookies Nick Singleton, Julius Chestnut, and Michael Carter.

We'll have to wait and see what the 2026 trade deadline holds for this Titans team.
