With the No. 4 pick, the Titans boast draft-day flexibility. Borgonzi faces crucial decisions to transform the roster after consecutive losing seasons.
The Tennessee Titans have gone 3-14 for the last two seasons.
It's obviously not something to be proud of, but at least this means that the team will have a high draft pick in April.
We've seen this team fumble their first-round picks in the past. Titans fans still haven't recovered from the nightmare that was former Georgia offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson. He played in one game for the Titans in 2020 before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2021 due to off-field issues.
Many of the team's needs were addressed in free agency. The biggest contracts handed out by General Manager Mike Borgonzi were to Wan'Dale Robinson, John Franklin-Myers, Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott.
Still, after multiple 3-14 seasons, there are other team needs that can be addressed in the draft. I wrote about the other needs the Titans have post-free agency, highlighting edge rusher, interior offensive line, linebacker, and receiver.
The Titans now have the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and there are many ways it can go. Sonny Styles, Carnell Tate, Jeremiyah Love, David Bailey and Rueben Bain have all been mocked to the Titans.
Styles is the most recent player predicted to land with the Titans, but it would be an interesting move. The last linebacker to be selected at No. 4 overall was Aaron Curry by the Seattle Seahawks in 2009.
Robert Saleh could use him in several ways, as Franklin-Myers revealed that the head coach loves to take advantage of mismatches on defense. Styles brings plenty of athleticism, running a 4.46 40-yard dash, a 43.5-inch vertical, and an 11-foot-2 broad jump.
Then, there is probably the safest route.
The Titans could go with an edge rusher like Bailey, Bain, or someone else. Tennessee really needs another player to start alongside Jermaine Johnson. The projected other edge rusher starter is currently Femi Oladejo, who has limited starting experience.
The team could also wait until the second round to draft an edge rusher. There's a chance that Jeremiyah Love or Carnell Tate could be the best players available in the first round. This edge rusher class is expected to be very deep, so the Titans could still find a quality edge rusher in the second or third round.
Other receivers like Jordyn Tyson and Makai Lemon could also be viable options if the team decides to trade back.
Plus, there is the concerning injury history with running back Tyjae Spears. Spears hasn't played a full season in the last two years. Love could be a great depth piece if the Titans want to split carries with him and Pollard.
There's no telling what the Titans will decide, but the team has plenty of options in the first and second rounds. We'll have to wait until April, like everyone else.
