GM reveals Titans' draft strategy: "Best player available." This points directly to electrifying running back Jeremiyah Love with the fourth pick.
The Tennessee Titans have been under the microscope lately, with everyone wondering the same thing.
The Titans have the No. 4 overall pick, and everyone is wondering who the team will select in just under a month at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I listed several ways the pick could go, highlighting Carnell Tate, an edge rusher, Sonny Styles, or Jeremiyah Love as potential selections.
Every one of those moves makes sense in one way or another for the Titans.
Edge rusher is the biggest need, as Jermaine Johnson is the only really capable starter at the position. Wide receiver could use more depth besides just Mason Kinsey, Hal Presley III and Bryce Oliver.
The same goes for linebacker, especially since Styles looks to be a versatile prospect.
General Manager Mike Borgonzi has been relatively quiet about the Titans' draft strategy until Monday. The league held its NFL Owners Meetings, and the GM tipped his hand.
Per Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com, Borgonzi said that the team is taking the best player available, no matter what.
"Where we're at right now, we want to take the best player available," Borgonzi said. "It depends on your roster construction, too, but where we are at, we are taking the best player available. …We are taking the best football player."
After all that from Borgonzi, it's clear that drafting Love fourth overall is priority number one.
Love has been connected to the Titans for quite some time. Recently, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah shared that he believed the Notre Dame running back would be a great fit.
ESPN's Field Yates and Matt Miller are on board with the move as well.
With the addition of Love, things would get a little crowded in the running back room. The Titans already have Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut, Kalel Mullings and Blake Watson.
Watson and Mullings would most likely be on the practice squad, but it would be interesting to see how Love would fit into the backfield. With a player like Love in the draft, this is someone that you don't want to miss out on.
This could mean that the Titans are going to wait to draft certain other positions of need, like edge rusher. However, with how deep this edge rusher class is, the Titans could afford to draft a player like Love and then fill that need later in the second or third round.
Rueben Bain Jr. and David Bailey have been linked to Tennessee before in multiple mock drafts. There are going to be plenty of other great options at edge rusher, like Auburn's Keldric Faulk, Missouri's Zion Young and Clemson's T.J. Parker.
Love is a solid prospect. He finished third in Heisman voting last season after rushing for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was also an All-American selection in his final season with Notre Dame.
After keeping his cards close to the vest for most of the offseason, Borgonzi definitely just signaled what the Titans are planning to do in April, and it's all pointing toward Love.
