Tennessee swaps reserve receivers by cutting Baylor product Hal Presley III for Courtney Jackson, a versatile playmaker with previous ties to the Giants' coaching tree.

The Tennessee Titans made a roster move on Friday that involved the wide receiver room.

According to Titans Insider Jim Wyatt, the Titans waived Hal Presley III and also claimed another receiver off waivers.

Presley was a late-season addition for Tennessee in 2025. He was an undrafted free agent in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Baylor, where he had 1,048 career receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Before joining the Titans, Presley also spent time with the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs last year. The Bills waived him, and then he was picked up by the Chiefs and signed to the practice squad before being released shortly after.

Last season, Presley was signed to the Titans' practice squad in late October.

After waiving Presley, the Titans decided it was time to add another former New York Giants player to the roster. Tennessee claimed receiver Courtney Jackson off waivers.

Jackson was also undrafted in 2025.

He spent his college career between Syracuse and Arkansas State. He played four seasons at Syracuse, racking up 662 receiving yards and four touchdowns after struggling to see the field.

Jackson then transferred to Arkansas State, where he had a bigger role. He accounted for 1,183 receiving yards and nine touchdowns over the two years he spent at Arkansas State.

After making it to the NFL, he bounced around a few different organizations before landing with the Titans on Friday. He first joined the Denver Broncos and narrowly missed the cut to make their 53-man roster.

The Seattle Seahawks then signed him to their practice squad a few days later. Jackson received a reserve/future contract with the Giants back in February and was waived on Thursday.

Based on his previous stops, it's safe to assume that Jackson will once again be a reserve receiver with the Titans. The receiver room is looking very crowded after rookie minicamp.

The 90-man roster is set after Tennessee decided not to sign any of its tryout class. The Titans did sign 11 undrafted free agents from the 2026 NFL Draft, including John Caroll receiver Tyren Montgomery and Illinois wideout Hank Beatty.

So far, the receiver room contains Carnell Tate, Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale Robinson, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike, Xavier Restrepo, Bryce Oliver, Mason Kinsey, Lance McCutcheon and K.J. Osborn.

One thing we've learned about the Titans in recent years is that they've favored undrafted free agent receivers. Restrepo made the 53-man roster last year after going undrafted out of Miami, and Kinsey has been with the Titans since 2021.

Just when you thought the Titans had enough former New York Jets and Giants players, they go out and add another from waivers.
