After eclipsing 1,000 yards, the dynamic slot receiver lands in Nashville as the shortest player in league history to hit the milestone, bringing elite production to the Titans.
The Tennessee Titans have a record holder on their roster.
Wan'Dale Robinson joined the team in free agency after spending multiple years with Brian Daboll at the New York Giants. He not only set a new career high with 1,014 receiving yards and four touchdowns but also set an NFL record.
Robinson is the shortest player to have 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He joined a recent edition of the "Up & Adams Show" to discuss the record, stating that he is used to being the shortest player on the field.
"I mean, I've always been short my whole life, and always kinda been the smallest one on the field, so kinda nothing new to me to go out there and put up 1,000 yards, or put up whatever numbers that I was supposed to go put," Robinson said. "It was a pretty good laugh and giggle that we had in the locker room when we saw the news."
Robinson went on further to state that he was surprised that he was the shortest player to achieve the feat, since he thought Wes Welker was shorter than him.
Welker had multiple 1,000-yard seasons with the New England Patriots, but is listed at 5-foot-9, while Robinson comes in at 5-foot-8.
"I definitely didn't think I was the shortest," Robinson said. "I thought me and Wes Welker were like the same height. They said he was listed at 5'9. I'm listed at 5'8. I'll take the record, though."
Records are nice, but hopefully Robinson will breathe new life into what was a struggling receiver room for the Titans last season.
Cam Ward's top receivers at the beginning of his rookie season were Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson. Ridley struggled with drops for most of the season before suffering a broken leg and missing the rest of the year.
Jefferson eventually lost his starting spot to rookie Elic Ayomanor, and Lockett was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders at the deadline.
Robinson was one of two new receivers for Ward that the Titans added this offseason. Tennessee also selected Ohio State WR Carnell Tate in the 2026 NFL Draft, who is primed to be the WR1.
Robinson brings his expertise in the slot to the Music City, as the Titans look to be a better situation for him, considering he received a lot of attention after the season-ending ACL tear to Malik Nabers at the Giants.
Now, Robinson has Ridley and Tate to take the pressure off him.
The hope is that Robinson can continue his level of production with the Titans in 2026.
