Taking a look at the top takeaways from the Minnesota Vikings' 15-10 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.

The Minnesota Vikings were able to win once again as they defeated the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 by a score of 15-10. In this game, there were definitely some positives for Minnesota, but also some things that still need to be fixed.

With that said, let's take a look at the top takeaways from the Vikings' win against the Dolphins.

1. The Offense Struggles Again

On Sunday, the Vikings were able to pick up the win, but the offense was still unable to generate points consistently and was actually held out of the end zone.

It is important to note that quarterback Kyler Murray did have his best yardage total of the season as he completed 27 of his 37 attempts for 234 yards and was able to establish a great connection with tight end TJ Hockenson, but the offense was unable to score a single touchdown and actually went 0 for 3 in the red zone and kicked three field goals.

The run game had a decent outing overall as Minnesota ran the ball 31 times for 123 yards and averaged 4.0 yards per carry, but just like the passing game, the Vikings could not get into the end zone on the ground.

Moving forward, this offense has to be able to put up points, because the level of offense the Vikings are putting on the field right now is simply not sustainable for a full 17 game season.

2. Will Reichard Might Be the Best Kicker in the NFL

Following the win in Week 4, it seems possible that the Vikings have one of the top kickers in the entire NFL.

During the game on Sunday, Vikings kicker Will Reichard went 5 for 5 on field goals and was one of the more consistent players for Minnesota on Sunday, as well as really the entire season thus far.

With the struggles the Vikings are having offensively, the fact that they have a kicker like Reichard, who can be very reliable, is huge and could make a major difference, especially in tight games, as through the first four weeks, Reichard is 12 of 12 on field goals and 6 of 6 on extra points.

As the Vikings continue to move through this season, if Reichard continues to stay automatic on field goals and extra points he not only will help Minnesota win games, but also could have an argument to be the best kicker in the entire NFL.

3. Defense Was Solid But Had Issues Stopping the Run

Now, looking at the defense, the unit led by defensive coordinator Brian Flores was solid on Sunday as the Vikings held the Dolphins to 10 points, but there were some issues stopping the run at times.

As mentioned, the Vikings held the Dolphins, and in particular this defense did a great job against the pass as Miami totaled 85 passing yards and quarterback Malik Willis was sacked twice while being hit a total of three times.

On the other hand, Minnesota did have some issues stopping the run as the Vikings allowed Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon to carry the ball nine times for 100 yards and one touchdown with Gordon having a 53-yard run and a 12-yard rushing touchdown. While most of the yards did come on two plays, the Vikings have to be able to limit those explosive plays, because if they do not more dangerous offenses will take advanatge.

So, heading into next, it will be interesting to see how the Vikings is able to stop the run and dominate against the pass, because if they can, this is a defense that is arguably the best unit in the entire league, which could be huge for this team against the variety of offenses Minnesota has to play throughout the rest of the season.
