Just over a month after its launch, Rodeo Bonus has reached a major milestone, with fans sending more than $100,000 directly to rodeo contestants through its Ride Boost program.

Just over one month after launching, Rodeo Bonus has reached a milestone that few expected so quickly.

The fan powered platform announced that more than $100,000 has been sent directly to rodeo contestants, providing financial support to athletes traveling the rodeo trail across the country.

Unlike traditional sponsorships or prize money distributed through rodeo committees, every dollar raised through a Ride Boost goes directly to the nominated contestant.

"Not to a venue. Not to a producer. Not to us," Rodeo Bonus shared in its announcement. "Straight to the athletes…entry fees, fuel, vet bills, hotel rooms. One hundred percent of every Ride Boost. No cut. No middleman."

The milestone marks another significant step for a platform created to give fans a direct role in supporting the competitors they cheer for.

Rodeo Bonus allows contestants to nominate the rodeos they plan to attend for a flat nomination fee, while fans purchase Ride Boosts to financially support their favorite athletes before they compete. Unlike many fundraising or sponsorship platforms, Rodeo Bonus does not retain a percentage of the Ride Boost contributions, allowing competitors to receive the full amount donated.

The additional funding can help offset many of the expenses associated with professional rodeo, including entry fees, diesel fuel, veterinary care, horse feed, lodging and other costs that quickly accumulate during the long rodeo season.

The program has resonated with both contestants and fans, who have embraced the opportunity to play a direct role in helping athletes continue chasing championships.

Ride Boost purchases also allow fans to participate in season long giveaways while helping contestants climb the Rodeo Bonus leaderboard. Athletes accumulate points throughout the season based on fan support, creating another avenue for recognition beyond traditional rodeo earnings.

The platform's rapid growth illustrates the willingness of the Western industry to invest in its competitors. Professional rodeo often requires contestants to travel thousands of miles each month while covering nearly all expenses out of pocket, making additional financial support increasingly valuable.

In announcing the milestone, Rodeo Bonus credited the rodeo community for embracing the concept.

"This is what happens when a sport takes care of its own," the organization said. "And we're just getting started."

As the summer run continues, the milestone demonstrates a growing shift in how fans engage with the sport. Rather than supporting contestants only from the grandstands, Rodeo Bonus has created an opportunity for supporters to directly impact an athlete's season by helping ease the financial demands of life on the road.

With more than $100,000 already delivered directly to contestants in little more than a month, Rodeo Bonus continues to gain momentum as an innovative addition to professional rodeo. If early participation is any indication, the platform could become an increasingly important resource for athletes while strengthening the connection between rodeo fans and the competitors they support.
