The 2019 World Champion bareback rider has been stacking wins across the California Circuit all season, and that consistency has him leading the circuit while also climbing back into the PRCA’s top 15.
Clayton Biglow has added more money to his 2026 season, extending his lead in the California Circuit while continuing his climb toward another Wrangler NFR qualification this year as well.
The Clements, California, bareback rider recently won the Ramona Rodeo with an 83.5 point ride on Barnes PRCA Rodeo’s High Dive, collecting more than $3,000. That same weekend, Biglow was back at the top of the leaderboard in Placerville, tying fellow California Circuit cowboy R.C. Landingham with an 85.5-point ride.
Biglow made his ride in Placerville aboard Flying U Rodeo’s I Am A Hawk, while Landingham matched him for the win. Landingham currently sits second behind Biglow in the California Circuit standings, putting the two California cowboys in the middle of a race of their own as the season winds down.
Biglow also won second in Lakeview, Oregon that weekend with 86 points behind Landinghams 88 point ride.
For Biglow, those wins are part of a much bigger stretch of success.
The 30 year old cowboy has been one of the most consistent bareback riders for over a decade now. Once again this year, he has dominated the California circuit. Earlier in the year, he was a co-champion at the Clovis Rodeo before adding win at the Valley Center Stampede Rodeo, Mother Lode Round-Up in Sonora, Springville Sierra Rodeo, Lakeside Rodeo and Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo.
He also won the Klamath River Round Up in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and picked up both the all-around and bareback riding titles at the Norco Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo.
Those checks have done more than build his California Circuit lead. They have also put Biglow back where he wants to be in the PRCA World Standings.
Back in the NFR Race
Biglow is currently No. 14 in the PRCA world standings with the final stretch of the season underway.
It is a familiar spot for a cowboy who has spent much of his career competing on the biggest stage in professional rodeo. Biglow qualified for eight consecutive NFRs from 2016 through 2023 and got his first gold buckle when he became the 2019 PRCA bareback riding World Champion.
Now, after missing the NFR in the last couple of ears, Biglow is working his way back into the field. At the same time, he has a circuit championship to win.
Landingham is currently the closest cowboy behind him in the California Circuit standings. However, Biglow leads by nearly $20,000.
Biglow has had a succesful year, and now has two big goals to tie the bow on. The California Circuit lead is his to protect, while his No. 14 position in the world has him right back in the fight for another trip to Las Vegas.
For a former world champion and eight-time NFR qualifier, the final weeks of 2026 could add a few more accolades to a career that has already included plenty of them.
