Rusty Wright has put together the best season of his professional career thus far. The five-time NFR qualifier, who last competed under the bright lights of the Thomas & Mack Center in 2020, currently holds a lead of just over $1,000. Rusty has won some of the most prestigious events of the season – the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale Matched Xtreme Bronc Ride, Clovis Rodeo, and Battle Born Broncs.
2. Stetson Wright – $200,502.81
Just behind Rusty sits one of rodeo's biggest stars. Ten-time World Champion Stetson Wright has built one of the most impressive resumes in modern rodeo, earning the nickname "Superman" for his ability to dominate multiple events. In addition to sitting second in the saddle bronc riding standings, he also leads the All-Around World Standings and sits fifth in bull riding.
Unfortunately, he recently had to undergo surgery after separating his shoulder and tearing his meniscus and PCL in his knee. While there is currently no timetable for his return, rodeo fans across the country will be watching closely, hoping to see him healthy in time for another NFR run.
3. Ryder Wright – $188,867.32
Three-time World Champion Ryder Wright rounds out the family sweep of the top three standings positions. Three-time World Champion Ryder Wright trails his brothers by a narrow margin as he looks to punch his ticket to his 11th consecutive NFR. He’s had quite a lucrative summer run, earning significant paydays at premier rodeos like the Utah Days of '47 Rodeo, Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, and Reno Rodeo.
