As Real Madrid and Manchester City circle, thirteen-year-old sensation Emre Alajbegović earns a historic Germany call-up, cementing his status as one of Europe’s most coveted midfield prospects.

Just days after Kerim Alajbegović completed his high-profile move from Bayer Leverkusen to Juventus, another member of the family is making headlines.

According to BILD, Emre Alajbegović, Kerim's 13-year-old younger brother, has received his first call-up to Germany's U15 national team, underlining the extraordinary reputation he has already built as one of Europe's brightest youth prospects.

The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has been selected for the DFB training camp scheduled to take place in Karlsruhe between 31 August and 3 September, marking the first time he has been included in a German national team setup.

While the invitation does not commit him to Germany at senior level, it sends a clear message about how highly he is regarded by the German Football Association.

Emre is already viewed as one of the most exciting talents in his age group.

Despite being only 13 years old, he has been promoted to Bayer Leverkusen's U16 side, where he is reportedly already establishing himself as one of the team's standout performers. Operating in central midfield, he has impressed coaches with his technical quality, vision and maturity despite regularly competing against older opponents.

That rapid development has not gone unnoticed across Europe.

According to BILD, a number of the continent's biggest clubs are monitoring his progress, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. The growing list of admirers reflects just how highly the teenager is rated, even at such an early stage of his development.

The international picture, however, remains open.

Like his older brother, Emre is eligible to represent more than one country. His selection by Germany's U15 team does not prevent him from changing allegiance later, as FIFA regulations only permanently tie players to a nation once they make competitive senior appearances.

The situation inevitably draws comparisons with his brother's path.

Kerim chose to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina, becoming one of the country's breakout stars during the FIFA World Cup before earning a transfer worth up to €35 million to Juventus. His performances on the international stage transformed him into one of Bosnia's brightest footballing figures and significantly increased his value on the transfer market.

Whether Emre ultimately follows the same international route remains uncertain.

For now, the focus remains firmly on his development at Bayer Leverkusen, where coaches continue to accelerate his progression through the academy. The decision to promote him to the U16 level at just 13 years of age already demonstrates the club's confidence in his potential.

His first Germany call-up is another milestone in what is already becoming a remarkable youth career.

Although much of the attention surrounding the Alajbegović family has centred on Kerim's transfer to Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen may already have another exceptional talent emerging from the same household. The DFB's decision to include Emre in its latest U15 squad is the strongest indication yet that one of Germany's most promising young midfielders is beginning to attract attention well beyond the BayArena.
