Is Borussia Dortmund's Asking Price Too High?
Yes

0%Borussia Dortmund have responded to Barcelona's initial offer for Karim Adeyemi by immediately rejecting it. The offer was around €20 million, but Dortmund have seen this as falling significantly below their valuation of the player, as they look to recoup as much of the €30 million they paid RB Salzburg for the winger back in 2022 as well as a small amount of profit on the deal, with their reported asking price around €40 million.
Karim Adeyemi, who has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Barcelona, is out of contract at the end of next season and is not interested in signing a new contract at Borussia Dortmund; therefore, Dortmund will be willing sellers with Karim Adeyemi, but that doesn't mean they will let the German international go on the cheap.
Borussia Dortmund will also likely be expecting interest from several clubs, especially following the conclusion of the ongoing World Cup, with Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa previously showing an interest in the forward.
But are Borussia Dortmund asking for too much for a player who can leave on a free transfer next summer, or are they right to ask around $40 million for the 24-year-old?
What do you think?
