Where Will Serhou Guirassy End Up By The End Of This Summer's Transfer Window?
A key transfer for Borussia Dortmund that has been rumoured for some time is, supposedly, getting ever closer to a conclusion, if reports are to be believed. It is a deal that has been said to have been holding up other deals from making any significant progress; the sooner this saga ends, the better for Borussia Dortmund.
Recent Reports - Agreement Reached?
That leads to reports having emerged from Turkey that Fenerbahce and Borussia Dortmund are close to reaching an agreement for Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy. Furthermore, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, a verbal agreement between both Fenerbahce and Borussia Dortmund has already been reached, with talks set to be held next week to have it all put in writing, with Serhou Guirassy said to be waiting on standby to fly to Istanbul with his agent to complete the record signing for Fenerbahce.
Now, these reports are likely to be taken with a pinch of salt at the moment, because no major German-based journalist has reported on this as of yet. This does not necessarily mean that what the Turkish reports are saying is untrue, but what they do state is to be treated with caution.
Borussia Dortmund Are Trying To Keep Their Prolific Forward
However, it was reported earlier this week that Lars Ricken and Ole Book have been trying to convince Serhou Guirassy to stay, promising more attacking reinforcements to help him and the club reach new heights, but if Serhou Guirassy is adamant on leaving, then the club are likely to be open to doing a deal at the right price.

Furthermore, Fenerbahce and Turkey are not the only club that have been linked with a move for Serhou Guirassy this summer already, with Premier League Aston Villa also keeping an eye on how Serhou Guirassy’s situation develops, incase they need a striker themselves amid fears of a Ollie Watkins departure following a sensational run of form for the Birmingham based side in the 2nd half of the campaign just gone, helping the club to win the UEFA Europa League.

Personally, I believe that Serhou Guirassy will end up either leaving Dortmund and going to Turkey, or remaining in Germany for at least another season and seeing whether the club keep to their promises of attacking additions being brought into the squad.
I also think that any potential move to Aston Villa is likely a non-starter due to the player wages and fees involved in making the deal happen, as well as the fact that Aston Villa will be desperate to keep hold of Ollie Watkins heading into the Champions League next season, rather than selling him and needing to find a replacement.
