Martín Demichelis has praised the young striker's development, highlighting his hard work, versatility, and impressive attitude.
"Tidi has made huge strides. He always works his socks off, he had a great pre-season this summer and is getting better all the time."
Against Elversberg, he started centrally before moving to both wings. As a striker, his pace makes him dangerous when attacking the space behind defenders. Out wide, he can isolate full-backs, carry the ball forward, and create problems in transition.
What I particularly like is how much more decisive he's becoming in the final third. Four goals and two assists this season suggest he's starting to turn that raw ability into actual end product.
There's still plenty to improve, especially his decision-making against compact defences, but I think Gomis has earned a bigger role in this Leipzig attack.
