Celtic did well to come back from two goals down to salvage a draw against the Rangers. That must have felt like a win considering how bleak things were looking at half-time. But at the end of the day, the reality of the matter is that they dropped two more points.
As a result, Hearts now find themselves eight points ahead of Celtic and six points ahead of the Rangers. With just nine games left to play in the league campaign, there is not much time to overturn that. The Hoops do have a game in hand over their two rivals.
That game is against Aberdeen. The Dons have endured a tough season after their Scottish Cup heroics in the previous campaign, to stop Brendan Rodgers from winning his third treble in Scotland.
Aberdeen currently sit at eighth in the Premiership table, with just 29 points from 28 games. Of course, Celtic have had issues against teams in the bottom half in recent times as well. So, the result of this matchup is far from a foregone conclusion.
The Scottish FA have announced the officials for the game between Celtic and Aberdeen. Nick Walsh will be the referee on the day. Daniel McFarlane and Colin Drummond will be his two assistants. Chris Graham will be on VAR duty with Duncan Williams assisting him.
After some of the decisions in the Glasgow Derby at the weekend, it is understandable why a lot of eyes will be on the officials in Celtic's next game. Hopefully, there will be no controversy, and the result of the match won't be affected by the refereeing calls.
This is pretty much a must-win game for Celtic. They cannot afford to drop any more points this season if they want to catch up with Hearts in the title race.
If Martin O'Neill's side do manage to end up with a perfect end to the campaign, there is a decent chance that they will end up winning the Premiership for the fifth time on the trot.
They cannot afford to look too far into the distance though. They have to take things one game at a time. For now, that is the upcoming visit to the Pittodrie Stadium to take on Aberdeen.
Of course, many will have an eye on the weekend as well, with another visit to Ibrox coming up, as both Celtic and Rangers look to reach the next round of the Scottish Cup.
