Noa Lang is said to be keen on a move to a European giant, despite serious interest from Ajax.

Ajax are expected to sign up to five more players before the transfer window, with a new left winger a top priority.

Mika Godts is set to join Paris Saint-Germain in a €55 million transfer, and Ajax have already begun the search for a replacement. Noa Lang is said to be high on Ajax's list of targets, and the Amsterdammers have held initial talks over a deal.

Jan Virgilli was also linked with a move to Ajax, but the left winger has joined Club Brugge from Mallorca in a €12 million deal.

In addition to a left winger, Ajax also want a right winger. Roony Bardghji was on Ajax's shortlist, but the Swedish winger suffered a serious injury in training and will be sidelined for an extended period of time. Ajax will therefore not be pursuing a transfer for the Barcelona youngster this summer.

Ajax also want a new defensive midfielder. Edson Álvarez was a top target, but that transfer is unlikely to go through. Ajax are also close to signing Barcelona youngster Jofre Torrents to strengthen the left-back position, and are also exploring a deal to sign former Feyenoord player Lutsharel Geertruida from RB Leipzig.

Lang keen on Galatasaray return

After a disappointing few months in Napoli, Lang joined Galatasaray on loan in January. The Turkish giants had the option to sign Lang permanently for €30 million, but they decided not to activate that option.

Ajax are very interested in signing Lang, but are set to face strong competition for the Dutchman's signature.

Lang is, however, still on Galatasaray's shortlist as they look to sign a new left winger. They made a €45 million offer to sign Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, but the Brazilian winger opted against a move to Turkey.

According to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Lang is the fourth option on Galatasaray's shortlist. After missing out on Martinelli, the Turkish giants are working on a deal to sign Rafael Leão from AC Milan. The third option on Galatasaray's shortlist is from La Liga, but it's unclear exactly who that player is.

Lang has reached out to Galatasaray and is ready to re-join the club. Napoli would be prepared to allow the winger to leave for €15 million.

Ajax must push for Lang

If Ajax can sign Lang for €15 million, that would be a great value-for-money signing. He has proven that he can perform in the Eredivisie and would help replace a sizeable amount of Godts' output.

It is currently unclear who else Ajax have on their shortlist, but in an ideal world, they need to sign someone who can come in and make a direct impact as opposed to a younger, more inexperienced player.

Godts scored 17 goals and registered 12 assists in the Eredivisie last season, and his replacement needs to be able to put up numbers close to that.
