Joey Veerman Transfer Latest

According to a report by PSV watcher Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad, the 27-year-old Veerman has been hoping to move abroad for several years and has previously expressed a preference for Italy or Spain.

Yet, despite interest in his situation, no club has made a concrete approach so far this summer. That could change in the coming weeks, although PSV are about to regain greater control over the midfielder’s future.

PSV agreed a transfer clause with Veerman that allows him to leave for approximately €20 million. According to multiple sources, the clause expires sometime between August 15 and 20, meaning interested clubs have only a short window remaining to activate it.

If a club offers €20 million or more before the deadline, PSV are obliged to accept the bid.

However, once the clause expires, the situation changes significantly. PSV would no longer be required to approve a transfer, meaning the club would have greater control over whether Veerman leaves.
