Kiliann Sildillia is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury, with the PSV defender scheduled to undergo surgery and expected to return towards the end of the year.

PSV have been dealt an injury setback, with Kiliann Sildillia ruled out for the time being. The 24-year-old defender recently sustained an injury and is now scheduled to undergo surgery as he begins the next stage of his recovery.

Sildillia is expected to return to the field towards the end of this calendar year, leaving PSV without the defender for a significant period as he works his way back to full fitness.

The setback has understandably frustrated the Frenchman, who had been feeling increasingly positive about his situation and was looking ahead to the months to come.

“This news was, of course, a hard blow,” says Kiliann. “I was feeling better and better, looking forward to the coming months, and wanted to prove myself here. That makes this setback especially frustrating.

“At the same time, I’m mainly looking ahead. The surgery is the first step in my recovery, and I’m going to do everything I can to come back as strong as possible.

“I feel a lot of support from the club, and that gives me extra motivation to be back on the field later this year.”

The immediate priority for Sildillia will now be the surgery and rehabilitation process. PSV will hope the defender can make a full recovery and return to competitive action towards the end of 2026.
