"He kept saying we're going to make life miserable for the opponents together," says the new PSV arrival after signing until 2028.

PSV Eindhoven have completed the signing of experienced Serbia international Filip Kostić, with the versatile left-sided player signing a two-year contract that will keep him at the Philips Stadion until the summer of 2028.

The 33-year-old arrives with a wealth of European experience, having had spells at Radnički 1923, FC Groningen, VfB Stuttgart, Hamburger SV, Eintracht Frankfurt, Juventus and Fenerbahçe.

A Europa League winner with Eintracht Frankfurt and a veteran of three major international tournaments with Serbia, Kostić will wear the No. 18 shirt once his work permit is finalised.

Perišić's Persuasion Helped Seal PSV Move

Kostić revealed that fellow PSV player Ivan Perišić played a significant role in convincing him to make the move to Eindhoven.

The two experienced internationals remained in regular contact throughout the transfer process, with Perišić painting an enticing picture of life at the Dutch champions.

"He kept saying: 'Come on over here-you'll love it, and together we're going to make life miserable for all our opponents,'" Kostić said.

"I'm glad we now have that chance together, and I'm extremely eager to achieve a lot of success with this top club. I can't wait to get started and, above all, let my feet do the talking, because that's what I love to do most."

Kostić admitted he needed little convincing once PSV made their interest known.

"When PSV reached out, it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to go to Eindhoven," he explained.

"It took a while after that for the deal to be finalised because I wanted to be sure that my family would feel at home here too and that everything would fit together perfectly. That's definitely the case. I'm overjoyed with this move."

The Serbian also spoke warmly about head coach Peter Bosz, whose footballing philosophy proved another decisive factor behind his decision.

"I remember how well the coach always organised his teams when I played against him," Kostić said.

"As soon as I spoke with him, I realised that his approach to work and football suited me perfectly. That only made me more enthusiastic about joining PSV."

Stewart: Kostić Brings Quality, Experience and Mentality

PSV Director of Football Earnest Stewart believes Kostić's winning mentality and experience will strengthen the reigning Eredivisie champions both on and off the pitch.

"Filip has consistently proven himself at the highest level," Stewart said.

"We can see in everything he does that he remains incredibly driven and ambitious, and that is exactly what we are looking for. With his quality, mentality and experience, he brings a lot of positive energy to our squad."

"We're very happy that Filip has chosen PSV and are fully confident that he will be of great value here."

Kostić arrives in the Netherlands after building one of Europe's most accomplished careers for a wide player.

Across spells in Germany, Italy and Turkey, he established himself as one of the continent's most reliable performers before helping Eintracht Frankfurt lift the UEFA Europa League. His 72 appearances for Serbia further underline the experience he brings to Peter Bosz's squad.

Now, with Perišić by his side and Champions League football on the horizon, Kostić is targeting another successful chapter.

His message was simple: he is ready to get to work, help PSV compete for more trophies and let his performances on the pitch do the talking.
