Rangers are set for further talks with PSV Eindhoven over a potential deal for Couhaib Driouech, with the Scottish club targeting a move worth around £7 million.
Rangers are preparing to step up their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech as manager Derek McInnes looks to add further attacking quality to his squad.
The Rangers Review reports that discussions with PSV began earlier this week, with the Ibrox recruitment team continuing to pursue Driouech as one of a handful of remaining targets.
There have been reports in the Netherlands that Rangers have already seen a bid of around £6 million rejected. However, sources at Ibrox insist that no official offer has been rejected, leaving the two clubs set for further negotiations in the coming days.
According to De Telegraaf as relayed by GOAL, Rangers submitted the first formal offer for the 24-year-old on Wednesday, but PSV wasted little time in turning it down. Eindhovens Dagblad reports that the proposal was worth several million euros, although the Dutch club has not disclosed the exact figure.
Rangers are understood to be targeting an agreement worth around £7 million for the 24-year-old Morocco international.
Driouech was notably absent from the PSV squad for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Fortuna Sittard, adding further intrigue around his situation as Rangers continue their pursuit.
The winger could become the 10th signing of the summer at Ibrox if a deal is completed. McInnes is also expected to strengthen other areas of his squad, with another centre-back and a left-back targeted.

The Eindhoven outfit are believed to value Driouech at around €7 million to €8 million and are prepared to sanction a transfer only if that valuation is met.
Despite rejecting Rangers' opening approach, PSV are understood to be open to selling the winger before the transfer window closes, provided interested clubs meet their demands.
Transfer journalist Mounir Boualin expects Rangers to return with an improved offer in the near future as they continue their pursuit of the Moroccan attacker.
Rangers are not the only club monitoring the PSV forward.
Boualin has reported that Red Bull Salzburg are also showing serious interest, while Burnley have now emerged as another contender, according to Eindhovens Dagblad.
The growing list of admirers reflects Driouech's reputation after an encouraging spell in Eindhoven, with the winger now appearing ready to take the next step in his career.
Interest in the attacker is not new. NEC Nijmegen, Genoa and Celta Vigo have all been linked with him in previous transfer windows, although none managed to secure a deal.
Productive Spell at PSV
Driouech joined PSV from Excelsior in the summer of 2024 in a deal reportedly worth around €3.5 million.
Since arriving at the Philips Stadion, he has made 61 competitive appearances, contributing 12 goals and 10 assists across all competitions while helping establish himself as an important squad player.
The Morocco international remains under contract with PSV until June 2029, strengthening the club's negotiating position as talks continue. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at approximately €7 million.
While PSV have rejected the initial proposal, reports suggest that negotiations are far from over.
Dutch media indicate that Rangers remain determined to strengthen their attacking options and are expected to return with an improved bid in an attempt to reach PSV's valuation.
Should an agreement be reached, Driouech would leave Eindhoven after two years at the club, while PSV would secure a significant profit on the fee they paid to sign him from Excelsior.
For now, however, PSV remain in control of the situation, with multiple clubs monitoring developments as the transfer saga gathers momentum.
