Real Madrid presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme says he has agreements for two international stars to join the club if he wins the election.

Real Madrid's president, Florentino Perez, called for new elections for the club's presidency a week ago, and to the surprise of many, a candidate stepped forward.

The Spanish businessman Enrique Riquelme began to gain strength after announcing his interest in running for office, and although he had very little time to present his proposal, he finally succeeded.

Last Sunday, Riquelme became an official candidate, bringing a fresh proposal to the Real Madrid Electoral Board, whose basis is transparency, democracy, and governance.

The 37-year-old Spaniard has already given his first interview as a candidate for the presidency, in which one of his main points has been that he will say no to the club's privatization, a fear many members have expressed both internally and publicly.

Now the businessman has given another interview, this time to ABC, where he has discussed potential signings if he were to become president.

In words collected by DAZN, the businessman revealed possible signings that raised fans' excitement, assuring that he already has agreements with them and that, if he becomes president, two international stars will come to the club.

"I have an agreement that if I am president, two great international stars will play for Real Madrid. Two stars that are necessary for the short, medium, and long-term sports project."

Not much is known about the names of those involved. The only clues available are that one is a Spanish player and the other is a coach.

Speaking on El Partidazo de COPE, Riquelme expressed his displeasure with Luis de la Fuente's decision not to call up any Real Madrid players and assured that, if he reaches the presidency, there will be one.

"If I am president of Real Madrid, there will be a player who has played in the World Cup."

Continuing with the signings, he also spoke about the coach, and without giving any name or clue, he only let it be seen that the coach in question is not currently free, he is coaching a team, and that the agreement was reached before the candidacy.

Riquelme has also spoken about the problems in the dressing room, rejecting the idea that such internal behavior should be normalized.

If we remember the incident with Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, Florentino had said in a press conference that he was not worried about the fights but about the leaks of them, so Riquelme has expressed the opposite.

"It has been said that 'the normal thing is for them to fight and the abnormal thing is for it to leak.' It does not seem to me that the serious thing is that it leaks; the serious thing is that they reach that point and see it as something normal within a dressing room."

Both have different ways of seeing things, and it will be very interesting to see how the elections end, and if, in the future, we will be able to find out who the star signings he speaks of are.
