The exiled first team player has taken to social media to throw shade at current Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, after reports of a recent fued between the two

One of the criticisms of Real Madrid, both this season and last season, has been a lack of creativity and guile in midfield.

Since Toni Kroos left the club, and even more so now Luka Modric has departed, the fans think the midfield lacks someone who can control a game, and someone who can play the killer pass.

If you look at the profiles Real Madrid have in the middle of the park - the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, etc. All very, very good players physically, but not players that are super creative.

This season, a more significant role for Turkish youngster Arda Guler has helped to negate this, but even then, he is more of a final third player. In terms of progressive passers from deeper areas, Los Blancos are still struggling.

Despite this lack of player, there has still not been a chance given to Dani Ceballos. According to reports, him and Alvaro Arbeloa have fallen out, and him being left out of match day squads is a technical decision, rather than down to any injury or illness. After the draw with Real Betis, the head coach said he only picks "appropriate" players, after Ceballos had been left at home.

In his presser ahead of the game with Espanyol, Arbeloa was asked about the situation, and responded by saying he will not go public with any information, and "what happens in the Real Madrid dressing room, stays in the Real Madrid dressing room."

Well, coincidentally - or likely otherwise - Ceballos uploaded a photo of him in training with a song captioned "Everything is a lie". Well, it does not take a genius to realise that he knows what he was doing there.

It's a bit of a shame, really. Clearly, the 29-year old is not the best player around. However, as touched on earlier, he is a profile that the team generally lack. He is comfortable receiving the ball from deep, and playing passes between the lines.

So far this campaign, he has played just 834 minutes across all competitions, fewer than 10 full games of action. A big waste. With only 12 months remaining on his contract in the Spanish capital, it feels inevitable that he will depart this summer. Perhaps a move back to Real Betis is possible, and would suit all parties involved.

We have seen Betis revive a number of careers recently, including former Real Madrid midfielder Isco. Perhaps that will convince Ceballos to rejoin - should they wish to sign him.
