After the superb win against Racing Club Santander last weekend, as many as four Real Madrid players have been recognised by rating app Sofascore with a place in the latest Team of the Week.
Last time out, Real Madrid picked up a very impressive win away to Racing Club on match day 11 of the La Liga season.
Before the game, the hosts had been unbeaten at home so far this campaign, winning three times and drawing twice, yet Jose Mourinho’s side were 3-0 up before half time after another relentless performance, making it six wins in a row.
As a result, a number of players have been recognised by rating app Sofascore for their performances. Indeed so, as all four of Dean Huijsen, Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande have been named in the Team of the Week for round 11.
The full team is as follows; Herrera (Osasuna); Boselli (Getafe), Sarr (Sociedad), Huijsen; Lopez (Barcelona), Fornals (Real Betis); Yamal (Barcelona), Guler, Bellingham, Diomande; De Frutos (Rayo Vallecano).
Let’s go through each performance individually. At the back, Huijsen was given an 8.3 rating. The defender made 15 defensive contributions, including seven clearances and won 3/4 ground duels. On the ball, he completed 9/12 long balls. Aside from the costly mistake against Atletico Madrid, he has been pretty flawless so far this season.
Meanwhile, Guler picked up an 8.7 rating, after yet another sensational display. The 21-year old created six chances, two big chances, registered an assist for Bellingham and completed 8/8 long balls. All of this despite being substituted for Brahim Diaz midway through the second half. Just sublime, once again.
As for Bellingham, he picked up an 8.4 rating, as he scored his fourth goal of the season - but not just that, he also created three chances, completed 5/5 accurate long balls, had 88 touches of the ball, and completed 4/5 dribbles. Another stupendous display from the Englishman.
Finally, it was an 8.2 rating for Diomande on that left hand side of the attack. The Ivorian international scored with a superb finish into the top corner, for his fourth goal in the last six games.
Aside from that, he was a consistent thorn in the Racing Club defence, and his ability to take opposition players out of the game helps open up space for team mates. He had 70 touches of the ball, and completed 3/5 dribbles.
All in all, a very good day at the office for a Real Madrid side who are currently purring under Mourinho. Let's see if it can last. But great stuff so far. Onto the next.
