Jose Mourinho has set three non-negotiable conditions to return as Real Madrid coach, according to reports.
The paths of Real Madrid and its current coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, are about to diverge, and with that, the white team has already set its sights on who will replace him.
Many have been the candidates to fill the vacancy that Arbeloa will leave this summer, but the most talked-about and the fan favorite is Jose Mourinho.
After a season marked by many difficulties and much criticism, Los Blancos are preparing to welcome a new coach. Just a few days ago, the news that they wanted Mourinho was not even a possibility because the Portuguese himself stated at a news conference that the club had never contacted him.
"No one from Real Madrid spoke with me, I can guarantee it. I have been in football for as many years as you have been in journalism, and we are already used to these things, but nothing from Real Madrid," Mourinho said.
But things took a complete turn when, a couple of days ago, it was revealed that the president of Real Madrid himself, Florentino Perez, would dare to speak with him to convince the former club coach.
New information now says that Mourinho has already made the conditions for his signing with Real Madrid public.
According to Sergio Valentin, a journalist for "esRadio," 'The Special One' requires some non-negotiable conditions to accept Real Madrid's offer.
To begin with, Mourinho wants a two-year contract with the club and will only speak to the press at mandatory news conferences. Additionally, he will only speak about the first team's sporting matters.
For other matters, he wants a spokesperson so as not to wear himself down as much as the first time he coached Real Madrid, stating that it left him very tired being the only one who defended the team on that occasion.
And as a final condition, the Benfica coach wants to bring his own staff. This would mean that he does not count on fitness coach Antonio Pintus and, furthermore, that he would accept Arbeloa on his staff without issue.
Given the conditions proposed by the 63-year-old Portuguese, Florentino's response was apparently: 'We'll talk.'
Sergio Valentin continued, saying that his source told him Mourinho and Jorge Mendes were expecting a more positive response and are somewhat disappointed.
Now it only remains to see how the president handles the situation and whether it suits him to bring the coach back, now that he knows the coach's conditions.
