Jude Bellingham Reaches 150 Matches for Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham reached 150 matches for Real Madrid last Wednesday against Roma. The Englishman took advantage of the moment to mention how proud he is to be able to wear white, the current situation the club is living through, and his current role at Madrid. Despite being one of the protagonist players and, therefore, one of the most important, that doesn't change the fact that he's also one of the youngest in the squad.

"I am very happy and proud. It is always a pleasure to play for this club, and I hope it is for much longer," Bellingham said while receiving the commemorative shirt. He also spoke about what it means to wear the Real Madrid shirt. "Real Madrid means a lot to me because it is the biggest club in the world. It is a great honor to play here and reach 150 matches."

Since the Englishman is already in his fourth season at the club, the possibility has been raised that he is already one of the locker room veterans, to which Bellingham responds with humor: "I am 23 years old; if I am a veteran... my goodness." This clearly represents the current situation of Real Madrid, in which footballers from different generations currently coexist, but he has already accumulated too much experience since his arrival in 2023.

Finally, he mentioned the demands of being a Madrid player, his desire to win titles again, and the team's current situation, which isn't entirely simple, but he is happy with the team's ability to move forward with its commitments. "I am enjoying my role in the team, and I hope we can improve and win titles. Sometimes there are slightly more difficult matches, but we have won almost all of them. We need to keep working and improving."

This Sunday they will face Sevilla at home. The Andalusian team is in great form and is only one place below Madrid in the standings. That is why they will come out with a knife between their teeth, since beating Madrid would put them within one point of the Champions League places. For the merengues, the victory is essential to stay six points behind Barcelona before the Clasico.

With a hypothetical victory at Camp Nou for Madrid, they'd be only three points behind the blaugranas. Or better yet, if Real Betis takes points from the Catalans in the match they will play this Saturday, things would be even better for the Whites. However, all this sounds very difficult given the great form the team coached by Hansi Flick has, which continues with a perfect streak this season: 10 matches, 10 victories.
