Real Madrid have now officially announced the transfer of the player to La Liga side Real Betis.

With the signings of Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella , Bernando SIlva and Denzel Dumfries already done and dusted, Real Madrid are now looking to make space for a few more arrivals during this summer.

Dani Carvajal and David Alaba were the first to leave Los Blancos following the culmination of the previous campaign, as the Whites recently confirmed the departure of their midfielder Dani Ceballos, as a free agent.

A few more names might get added to that list during the next couple of weeks, as  Real Madrid have now confirmed the transfer of Fran Garcia to La Liga side Real Betis.

As per Fabrizio Romano's report, Betis will pay a transfer fee of around €4 million for the transfer of the 26-year-old, and Los Blancos have also a inserted a 50% sell on clause in the player's new contract, which will assure the Whites, half of the transfer fee which Betis will receive on any further transfers of Garcia.

Garcia has struggled for minutes at Real Madrid ever since he was brought back from Rayo Vallecano, and now following the arrival of Cucurella, the Los Blancos academy graduate seemingly became the fourth choice left-back for new manager Jose Mourinho.

Having to leave a club like Madrid is certainly a step backwards for any player, but given the current situation at the club, it was certainly the right choice for Garcia.

The left-back will most likely be a crucial first team player under manager Manuel Pellegrini, as Betis gear up for their first Champions League campaign in twenty years following their fifth place finish in La Liga during the previous campaign.

Garcia has certainly got the experience of playing in one of those European nights and has even got himself a UCL winner's medal from the 2023-24 season final win against Borussia Dortmund.

Garcia will join former Los Blancos midfielder Isco at Betis, and hope to contribute to the side's European venture this season.

As for the Whites, Raul Asencio might be another defender, who is next in line for a departure this summer following the signing of Konate and the recent one-year contract extension of Antonio Rudiger.

Just as Garcia, Asencio has now been pushed further down the pecking order and as per the reports, Mourinho has already conveyed his feelings to the club regarding the young center-back, as the 23-year-old's is looking to be next in line for a departure this summer.
