Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa addressed rumors about his possible successor and problems in the dressing room.

Real Madrid prepares for Sunday's La Liga match against RCD Espanyol, and in the meantime, Alvaro Arbeloa commented on some locker-room situations at the news conference ahead of the match.

Regarding rumors about who will be his successor and what he thought about the possible arrival of Jose Mourinho, already circulating, the coach was clear and concise: he is not worried about that type of news; what matters to him is focusing on the match they will have tomorrow.

"Names of future coaches? Does it worry me? No, what worries me is tomorrow's match. I am focused on that, I have always thought about Real Madrid and about the team. The future for me is tomorrow."

And speaking of the situation with Mourinho, the Portuguese recently addressed it at a news conference, saying that Real Madrid has not contacted him, silencing the rumors circulating.

Problems In The Dressing Room

The coach was also asked whether there is room for improvement with his squad, to which Arbeloa replied that, obviously, they are a very young team; even though they have players with great personalities, they always have to improve on the playing field.

"There are great players with great personality and great experience, who are doing a great job. We need to know how to handle some things better on the field, but being a young squad, the sins of youth show."

Finally, Arbeloa emphasized that although the team has stopped winning matches and is going through a bad stretch, especially against teams from which they should not let points slip, he is not disappointed in his players at all.

He firmly believes that everyone is committed to the game and always tries to give their best, stating that if there is something to resolve among themselves, it must be done in private.

Real Madrid will have to work hard if they want to reach the top, but for many, that’s already practically impossible. Currently, they sit in second place with 74 points in the La Liga standings, surpassed by their rival FC Barcelona, which has 85 points.
