Real Madrid have reportedly blocked one of their academy graduates' controversial moves to their arch-rivals.

Real Madrid are on the brink of a trophyless season, currently nine points behind league leaders Barcelona with only seven games left to play in La Liga.

On the other hand, Los Blancos take on a motivated Bayern Munich side in the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, as they currently trail by a goal, and their recent form is giving fans all kinds of reasons to lower expectations for their side.

As it stands, the club's managerial change in January hasn't really been a game-changer, but Alvaro Arbeloa has definitely achieved one fantastic feat since coming into the side, as he has been crucial to the development of a few La Fabricia players like Thiago Pitarch, Manuel Angel, and Cesar Palacios during their recent games.

Pitarch has now gone on to start a total of four games in all competitions for the Whites, three of them in the Champions League: two against Manchester City and the other in the first leg against Bayern at the Bernabeu.

Apart from the players in this season's squad, a few other La Fabricia players have left the club temporarily to get more game time and gain experience, and they have been fantastic so far.

Osasuna winger Victor Munoz is definitely one of those players Los Blancos value highly, with a future return to the Bernabeu on the cards, but they are not the only club after the signature of the 22-year-old.

Los Merengues' fierce rivals, Barcelona, are said to be in contention to sign Munoz along with some Premier League and Serie A clubs.

Although according to a recent report from AS (h/t Barca Blaugranes), Real Madrid are quite obviously more concerned about the interest from Barca, and as a result Los Blancos would block all avenues for any such move as apparently the Whites have a right of first refusal along with the other clauses on his contract like purchase and half of his economic rights.

Munoz was part of the renowned La Masia before moving to Madrid, where he has made four appearances so far for the first team: two cameos in the Club World Cup and two in La Liga, including one against Barca during last season's El Clasico at the Camp Nou.

It is not yet confirmed whether Los Blancos will move for the youngster this summer, but as it stands, they will make sure their prized asset doesn't play for the other side in a future Clasico.
