Real Madrid have reportedly taken an unlikely stance on one Chelsea midfielder, Enzo Fernandez, which might surprise the fans.

Post-season at Real Madrid has already seen a lot of things happen at the century-old club. Most of it has been an aftereffect of their poor display during the previous two campaigns.

There has been a visible urgency since the presidential election, which was held during the start of the month, and Florentino Perez, following his re-election, has not only confirmed the arrivals of Ibrahima Konate, Bernando Silva, Marc Cucurella, and Denzel Dumfries, but is also looking towards a probable 'galactico' signing as the cherry on top.

A number of names have been floated as Los Blancos' probable superstar signings this summer, as Los Blancos even had to come out and officially rubbish those claims, as they did with the Michael Olise transfer rumors.

Although seemingly, there are a few more names that have been making the rounds during the past few weeks, and Los Blancos have seemingly taken a calm approach for one of them.

According to MARCA (h/t Madrid Universal), Madrid have seemingly decided not to indulge in any rumors regarding Enzo Fernandez and handle the situation with composure, just as they have done so many previous times.

Recently, there were a lot of rumors that suggested that the Whites would go all in for the Argentine midfielder this summer, but Los Merengues believe these are the tactics of Enzo's agent in order to create a buzz in the market.

Of course, Los Blancos have been part of all these tantrums before and see this incident as unlike any other. As previously reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Chelsea star is not the only midfield target for Madrid this summer.

Apparently, there are four other candidates alongside Fernandez, as Mourinho and the Whites are expected to go with the most feasible option during the upcoming months, both in terms of financial commitments and the quality that they will bring to the field of play.

There is no doubt that all of them are already busy representing their national sides in the ongoing World Cup, which gives the club management a lot of opportunities to take a closer look at their probable 'galactico' signing.

But there might just be a slight drawback to that approach, as other European heavyweights are also keeping tabs on players like Ayyoub Bouaddi, Julian Alvarez, Olise, and Enzo, who are currently on top of Madrid's wishlist.

And even if they are able to agree on terms with any one of these stars, their transfer fees might just skyrocket by that time, but as it stands, Los Blancos would like to take it slow with their star signing this summer. This is at least true in the case of the Enzo Fernandez transfer saga.
