Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho exploded at one of his assistants, Nuno Santos, feeling he was too slow in carrying out Carlos Espi's substitution in the final minutes. He was also unconvinced by the instructions the assistant gave the player, leading to a heated moment.

During the Champions League match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan, something curious happened. Specifically, in the 92nd minute, with the match about to end, coach Jose Mourinho made his last substitution. Kylian Mbappe would leave the field, and in his place, the young Carlos Espi would enter. However, what caught attention, and what was not seen by a large part of the television viewers, was the great annoyance that the Portuguese had with his assistant, Nuno Santos.

This was mainly because Mourinho, during the final minutes of the match, was too effusive, asking the players (and the substitutes, in this case) to put more intensity into the match, to always chase the ball, practically sweat blood if necessary, as long as they took the 3 points from the match.

This is why the Portuguese exploded when he saw that a member of his coaching staff (Nuno), in charge of carrying out the substitutions, was somewhat slow and didn't agree with the instructions he was giving to the young forward. This created a few seconds of too much impetus on the Merengue bench, as Nuno did not stay quiet and responded with the same intensity. A scene that was captured exclusively by the Movistar Plus cameras.

The good thing is that everything stayed at that; the heat of the match did not reach serious levels. In addition, the match ended 2-1 in favor of Real Madrid and, in this way, 'Mou's' team starts on the right foot in the Champions League. Now they have time to correct certain errors the team showed between now and Oct. 14, when the tournament resumes with matchday 2, with the merengues visiting the Olympic Stadium to face Roma. Another quite tough match.

But that doesn't mean they can rest on their laurels in September; of course not. Now they must straighten their course in LaLiga and not let Barcelona keep pulling away. Because we already lived through it during the last two seasons. Matches like last Friday's against Real Betis must be won, whatever it takes.

At the end of the season, those lost points end up making the difference. Nothing against Betis; they're a great club, but Madrid had them on the ropes the whole match and couldn't put it in the net. Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham: it is unacceptable that with those names, you fell at La Cartuja. There are also many things to correct in the league.
