After a match that promised big things for him, Vinicius Jr. committed a reckless foul that earned him a red card, leaving Real Madrid a man down. The Brazilian has now apologized to the fans on social media.

Vinicius Jr. recently expressed himself on social media after what happened during last Saturday's match against Villarreal. A match in which Real Madrid came out victorious by a narrow margin (1-0) thanks to Yan Diomande's goal. The Brazilian scored the second goal after a great run down the left flank by Jude Bellingham, who entered the area without trouble to give a precise pass to Vini.

However, VAR called the referee over to show him that, before the goal, while the Brazilian was chasing the Englishman at high speed, he pulled Nathan Saliba's hair. After seeing this, the referee disallowed the goal and awarded a midfield foul. However, it didn't end there; the referee also showed him a direct red card, which annoyed Vinicius, and he went straight to confront the center referee but was stopped by his teammates.

After the match ended, the Brazilian wrote on his social media: "The joy continues... Forgiveness to my team and the fans." The text clearly combines joy at the team's positive result with an apology for putting them in a disadvantageous situation, which they handled well.

But that wasn't all: Vini also shared a compilation of images showing different plays where he received goals and took very hard kicks, yet on no occasion did those players appear to have been cautioned. Said images were accompanied by a text that says: "And the one who receives yellow and red is always Vinicius, what a shame."

Now, the club is still awaiting the RFEF Disciplinary Committee's resolution regarding Vinicius. In addition to the direct red card he received - which, according to the regulations, means two suspension matches - the referee mentions in the report that the player showed an aggressive and defiant attitude when protesting the decision, which could add at least one match to the punishment.

It is practically a fact that the Brazilian will not be able to play in the El Clasico on Oct. 25, which would be a considerable absence, not a big one, since the player's current situation is not the same as it was a couple of years ago. Still, it is also true that a player like Vinicius can create a dangerous chance for you at any moment. His place, everything seems to indicate, will again be taken by Diomande, as happened against Villarreal, and he was the scorer of the only goal of the match.
