Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. addressed the media to discuss both the team's hard-fought win over Roma and the suspension handed down to him by the Disciplinary Committee.

Vinicius Jr. broke his silence after learning of the suspension imposed by the Competition Committee following the hair pull on Nathan Saliba last Saturday during Real Madrid-Villarreal in LaLiga. The Brazilian will miss the next four matches Madrid plays in LaLiga due to his actions in the last league match, something that caused quite a bit of annoyance both for the forward and his club, not only because of the suspension itself, but because they gave the news two hours before the Roma-Madrid match began.

"I think the suspension has come out at a bad moment. They had all day to announce the suspension, and I found out when I arrived at the stadium. The rule is new, and the people from LaLiga always come to explain the new things to us, but precisely this they have not explained to us. I have never had an act of violence against another player. They hit me quite a bit, and the card is always quite a lot for me," Vinicius began.

He also addressed the topic of his performance on the field, which has been far from the Vinicius we all know and who carried the team on his shoulders in winning the fifteenth Champions League, as well as his noticeable annoyance at being substituted against Roma this Wednesday.

"It's normal; I got angry after the substitution because I always want to be well and help the team. The substitutions changed the team. Endrick changed the dynamics and was the best. And Carlos (Espi) came in for a few minutes, but he scored. I am angry with myself for not being at my best. In the end, Vini always comes back, and I have no doubt that I am going to come back," he said.

He was also questioned about his opinion on the whistles he has been receiving at the Bernabeu, with the most notable example being the first matchday of the Champions League against Inter Milan. Vinicius responded: "Surely the whistles do not help me, but the people pay for their tickets. We play better if we have the fans with us.

Jude plays better, Mbappe plays better, I play better... I think it is easier to whistle at me because I have been here longer and I am one of the captains. I am going to come back. When I arrived young, many laughed at me, and in the end I have more than 100 goals with Real Madrid."

To finish, the Brazilian took a shot at the refereeing. "The fans have to whistle at me because I am here to score goals against their teams, but the referees do not understand it, because I have seen a stat that says they commit 500 fouls on me for five red cards, and I do not know how many yellows, and the yellows are always for Vini. I do not understand. We have to defend the players who do it differently, like Lamine at Barcelona or Julian at Atletico."

Vinicius will not be available for the most important match in this first half of the season. On Oct. 25, Madrid will visit the Camp Nou with a single mission: to take the 3 points home. That would mean cutting the gap between blaugranas and merengues too much, as well as gaining confidence to face what remains before the winter break in a better way.
