Real Madrid are intensifying negotiations to pry Ivorian sensation Yan Diomande away from RB Leipzig as the winger joins the training camp in Austria following a recovery from an infection.

According to an update by Florian Plettenberg, Real Madrid continue to negotiate with RB Leipzig for the permanent transfer of Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old was expecting that Los Blancos and his current club would reach a deal before proceeding with Leipzig's training camp in Austria. However, Real Madrid urged calmness internally since the German outfit increased their demands.
Talks between the two clubs 'are not in danger', as per Plettenberg, as the final deal is supposed to go beyond €120 million in total package.
The negotiations hit a roadblock due to bureaucratic delays with Diomande's agent mishap. His former agency, Maxidel Management, has a bitter legal dispute with his current agents, Roc Nation Sports, and Real Madrid will have to navigate this issue while proceeding with RB Leipzig for a transfer.
The Ivorian international could become Real Madrid's most expensive signing ever, as his transfer package will certainly exceed Jude Bellingham's €127 million deal from Borussia Dortmund in July 2023.
Diomande called in sick and therefore avoided Die Roten Bullen's initial days in Austria, but now he has recovered from an infection and has joined the camp. He will remain professional until Los Merengues reach an agreement with Leipzig.
In other news, Real Madrid winger Franco Mastantuono agreed to join Serie A side Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal without any obligation to buy. The Spanish giants bought the Argentine youngster from River Plate last summer, but failed to develop him properly or give him considerable game time.
With time on his side, Mastantuono will hope to make the most of his loan spell with the Viola. He will join his fellow Argentine Nicolas Valentini and former La Fabrica academy graduate Victor Valdepenas in Florence. Real Madrid fans will hope to see the 18-year-old find his form and develop well in a defensively tight league like Serie A for a whole campaign. This loan deal is in the best interests of both the club and the player, since the player would have yet another potentially barren season under Real Madrid's new coaching staff led by Jose Mourinho.
Mastantuono was brought in to solve the right-wing problem, but with Yan Diomande transfer talks reaching an end, his game time would have been further diminished.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid hope to tie star man Vinicius Jr. to a new contract and avoid losing him for free next season. Renewal negotiations have entered a stalemate for a long time now, as the Brazilian international's demands are way beyond what the club is offering at this point.
