Real Madrid have greatly benefited from La Fabrica, their youth academy, over the years, not only in terms of players but also of managers.

The visuals of Dani Carvajal laying the first stone of the famous Real Madrid City alongside the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano back in 2004 still make the rounds on the internet every now and then.

It is an ardent reminder of how Los Blancos have been one of the most revolutionary clubs in the history of the game, as they have repeatedly striven for excellence in every era.

Madrid's La Fabrica academy now stands as a testament to the footballing world, as Los Merengues' nursery has already delivered results for their senior team over the past few years.

Players like Manolo Sanchiz and Emilio Butragueno were amongst the first to make a name for themselves from Los Blancos' youth system, which apparently was the driving force for the likes of Iker Casillas and Raul Gonzalez to gain legendary status coming out of La Fabrica.

Numerous others followed the two brightest stars of the academy as youngsters like Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Morata, Lucas Vazquez, Nacho Fernandez, etc., flourished inside the newly constructed Valdebebas training facility.

All of the above-mentioned have played a role in the club's success over the years: Casillas' unforgettable reflexes during the 1999-2000 Champions League final, and Raul Gonzalez's goals during the 2000 and 2002 Champions League finals against Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively.

Then followed the accolades of the younger generation as Carvajal, Morata, Vazquez, and Nacho were all part of the famous Zinedine Zidane-led Real Madrid side, which dominated Europe for three years straight.

La Fabricia's contribution to the first team has come not only in the form of players but also through managers like Zidane, Santiago Solari, and their current head coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, who started their careers at Real Madrid City at different levels.

Other prominent developing managers like Guti and Raul have also had stints at the Valdebebas, with Raul winning the UEFA Youth League back in 2020, and both former Los Blancos players are looking to further develop as senior-side managers elsewhere.

As of recently, players like Fran Garcia, Gonzalo Garcia, Thiago Pitarch, Raul Asencio, and others have broken into the first team with a plethora of others waiting in the line already, as the likes of Javier Navarro, Daniel Yanez, and Juan Martinez recently made their presence after winning the UEFA Youth League this season by beating Club Brugge on penalties.
