Mohamed Salah's status against PSG is becoming clearer as Arne Slot gave an update.

One week before the first leg against PSG, Liverpool provided a fairly comprehensive update on its recently injured players through manager Arne Slot on the club's official website. It appears likely that Mohamed Salah will be available against PSG.

In just one week, PSG will host Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg, and both clubs are tending to their injured players as the March international break winds down, with the last players gradually returning to their clubs. On its official website, Liverpool FC published comments from manager Arne Slot regarding the health of his squad -- an important topic for the Reds, who have been plagued by numerous absences this season.

Injured Tuesday night with the Netherlands national team, right back Jeremie Frimpong potentially avoided the worst, according to his manager, who was not as pessimistic as the initial reports suggesting the player -- who has suffered frequent muscular injuries this season -- had suffered a setback: "The doctor of the Netherlands national team explained to us that his substitution was a precautionary measure. But he will have a scan later in the day to see how it looks."

Salah Very Likely Available Against PSG, Alisson Not Necessarily

While Frimpong's case remains one to monitor, it appears certain that Mohamed Salah -- who will leave at the end of the season -- will be available against PSG, as he is expected to return as early as Saturday against Manchester City: "At the moment he got injured, some people thought: 'I don't think he'll be available for the City game.' But Mo looked at me and said: 'I think I'll be available for the City game.' He takes such good care of his body that he recovers very quickly. So he'll train with the team again tomorrow and, if everything goes well, he'll be available to join us at City."

While long-term absentee Alexander Isak is due to return to group training on Thursday, there is no imminent return expected for goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who "will be out a little bit longer." Slot, as usual, declined to specify how long. Finally, Federico Chiesa is also feeling better: "He came back from the national team, where he wasn't able to play. But he trained with us today, so he'll train with us again tomorrow and will be available for the weekend match."

Liverpool will also be without Conor Bradley, the right back who suffered a serious knee injury.
