Next Tuesday, we will have one of the most anticipated UEFA Champions League semifinals in years. Bayern Munich has just received some good news before the PSG tie.

UEFA decided to be very kind to Bayern Munich, which feared the closure of its stand for the match against PSG due to incidents that could have been serious during the match against Real Madrid.

As early as next week, PSG will continue its Champions League journey with the first leg of its semifinal against Bayern Munich. A match inevitably highly anticipated and announced as a final before its time, so much does the other semifinal between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid seem less prestigious.

In the previous round, Bayern Munich struck hard, eliminating Real Madrid in a very tense match in which the Merengue forced extra time, making Vincent Kompany's team tremble.

Even in the stands, the match was heated by the not-very-disciplined behavior of Bayern supporters. Indeed, UEFA noted several serious incidents at the Allianz Arena, with Bayern supporters even reaching the edge of the pitch after shoving in this epic end of the match. Photographers were disturbed in their work, and media representatives were even slightly injured.

In general, the European body does not joke around with sanctions for this type of behavior that breaches the safety of accredited persons. But as Sky Germany reports, Bayern Munich avoided the worst while a closure of its hottest stand behind the goals, the Sudkurve, was feared. Ultimately, the German club gets away with only financial sanctions and fines totaling €100,000, including €40,000 for the partial invasion of the pitch.

The fact that the Bavarian club did not even receive a suspended closure of its stand remains a rare clemency. This will, however, allow the Allianz Arena to be full for the return match when PSG visits, for another match that promises to be heated in Germany.
