After the midweek showdown at home to German giants Bayern Munich, four PSG players have been named in the team of the week for their performances

On Tuesday evening, PSG edged out Bayern Munich with a dramatic 5-4 victory in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi final tie.

Truth be told, it was a game that could have gone either way, with good chances for both sides and plenty of swings of momentum throughout the 90 minutes. Fortunately, several key PSG players stepped up in crucial moments for the team.

So much so, that as many as four individuals from Luis Enrique's side have been officially recognised by UEFA themselves, with a place in their team of the week for the semi final first leg ties. Indeed, as Vitinha, Joao Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele all find themselves in the XI.

The full team is as follows (3412); Raya; Upamecano, Pubill, Gabriel; Olise, Vitinha, Neves, Kvaratskhelia; Griezmann; Dembele, Diaz.

As many as eight players coming from the game between PSG and Bayern shows you how good a game it was, and in reality, Harry Kane can feel aggrieved not to be there ahead of Griezmann, after his performance on Tuesday.

Although, understandably so, Dembele was named the official man of the match for the game, it was another sublime performance from Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian winger scored two goals from just 0.16 xG.

In fact, if you go over his Champions League campaign as a whole, his finishing has been absolutely ridiculous. He has scored 10 goals from an xG of just 3.81, whilst missing zero big chances. An absolutely ludicrious level of finishing.

It's an even bigger anomaly when you realise that the 25-year old has scored seven goals in Ligue 1 this season, meaning he has found the back of the net three more times in Europe's biggest competition, despite playing 357 fewer minutes.

As for Dembele, it was a weird (but very good) display from him. When played through on goal in the first half, he completely spooned his shot wide of the target when very well placed, an xG of 0.41, yet scored in the second half from a shot worth just 0.08 xG.

Meanwhile, honestly, it did not feel like Vitinha's best performance in a PSG shirt, he felt like he was a way below his usual self. But maybe that is just the standard he has set with his normal performance level. Whilst Neves once again showed just how good he is in the air for someone of a short stature.
