PSG youngster Yanis Bastaraud is set to leave for Lorient this summer. Verbal agreement in place to facilitate his departure from Paris.
PSG left back Yanis Bastaraud could leave the French capital to sign with another Ligue 1 club this summer, according to reports. Lorient is very interested in the native of Lagny-sur-Marne.
Paris Saint-Germain's youth academy is full of talent, and in recent years, Luis Enrique has not hesitated to dip into it to supplement his professional squad.
Warren Zaïre-Emery, of course, but also Quentin Ndjantou or even Senny Mayulu have established themselves as real solutions in the squad rotation in the eyes of the Spanish coach.
There is, however, no room for everyone in such a competitive team as Paris. Bastaraud, 18, is well aware of this, and his future will be written far from the Rouge et Bleu club, according to Le Parisien.
Under a trainee contract with PSG until June 2027, he has just come out of a trial with FC Lorient for a few days. The Parisian outlet reports that the defender, who has been used very little this season with PSG's reserves, is open to a departure and took advantage of his club's permission to join FC Lorient on trial.
At this stage, "nothing guarantees" a signing with the Merlus for Bastaraud, but things are rather well underway. Whether at Lorient or elsewhere, his departure is confirmed.
PSG does not intend to put obstacles in his way. Indeed, a verbal agreement exists between the young French left back and the club's management to facilitate his departure at the end of the season, "provided the player finds a project allowing him to flourish."
There is no doubt that in the event of a departure to a Ligue 1 club, PSG will ensure that a sell-on percentage is included, as has been the case with other players in the past. To recover a nice check in two or three years' time in the event of a transfer abroad, for example.
