Erling Haaland is ready for Man City's clashes with Liverpool and PSG after a reset in Marbella. Here's what Enzo Maresca said about his fitness.

After an exhausting loss to Portugal last Sunday, Erling Haaland took a break in Marbella before facing Liverpool in the Premier League this Sunday, then PSG in the Champions League next week.

Manchester City's main attacking threat, Erling Haaland, and PSG's upcoming Champions League opponent, has had a more-than-decent start to the season, with 7 goals in 7 matches for his club and 3 in 4 for Norway.

However, the Norwegian striker finished the last international break completely exhausted and was substituted by his national team coach in the 67th minute against Portugal last Sunday.

The Norwegian press revealed after the match that the City striker had gone straight to Marbella, Spain, where he owns a house. The question was whether he was injured and would take a few days off before Sunday's Premier League clash between Liverpool and City, followed by the City vs. PSG match on Wednesday, October 14th.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, his Italian coach Enzo Maresca gave an update: "Yes, he's fine, he's fine. He went to Marbella for two or three days to rest, play golf, recover, and he's ready for Anfield. He's fine, thank you for asking."

Erling Haaland was therefore given a few days' rest this week before returning to Manchester, as were several PSG players (for example, Marquinhos was in Morocco on Wednesday).

But Maresca didn't go as far as Luis Enrique, who decided to rest Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes until this weekend. Haaland will play at Anfield this Sunday before facing the Parisian defense three days later.

Elsewhere, PSG released a limited medical report ahead of their Le Mans match. PSG's two injured players are Senny Mayulu, hurt with France's under-21 team, and Alessandro Longoni, who returned from his stint with Italy's under-19 team injured. The first remains in treatment; the second has already resumed individual work in the gym. But neither will play against Le Mans, or even all of October, for Mayulu.

PSG's other two absentees are Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes, left to rest after an international break in which they played a lot, but that means, on the other hand, that many players who were slightly banged up are fine: Ferran Torres, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Achraf Hakimi are fit for this PSG-Le Mans match, having dealt with minor health issues before or during this break.
