Ibrahim Maza says joining PSG would be a dream as the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder emerges as the Parisians' top target for summer 2027.
Paris Saint-Germain appears to be preparing to reinforce the squad in the next transfer window, which will begin in June 2027, and its main target is apparently Ibrahim Maza, Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder.
Winter transfer window rumors seem to be moving slowly at PSG, with little speculation. Recently, it was said that the club was interested in Manchester United's young star Joseph Gabriel, but this rumor was denied days later.
And if we take the words of the coach himself, Luis Enrique, the club isn't looking for reinforcement in winter, and they aren't focused on finding attacking players either.
However, the media love rumors. A couple of weeks ago, L'Équipe announced that PSG was on Maza's radar. Thanks to his versatility, he can play wherever you put him, although the player himself said he feels more comfortable playing as a number 10.
Currently, Ibrahim Maza has played in 12 matches with his team, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists in the Bundesliga, 1 goal in the Europa League, and 1 assist in the DFB Pokal.
Leverkusen is interested in extending his contract, but experts believe it will not be possible since Maza is attracting too much attention. If we add that the Algerian did not rule out joining PSG, that contract extension looks even more distant.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Ibrahim Maza said his dream is to play for a team at PSG's level.
"Go to PSG? Of course, it would be a huge dream to play for such a big club someday. It is one of the best clubs in the world, along with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Arsenal," Maza assured.
For the 20-year-old, playing at a club like PSG is a goal he has pursued, so a door opens for the Parisians.
"Without a doubt, I want to win the Champions League someday. That is one of my goals, of course. And my dream is to be among the best players in the world someday and win the Ballon d'Or. That is what I am working for," he concluded.
It is still too early to say Maza will join Rouge et Bleu, but if the club decides to strengthen the squad with his skills, we could see him competing for a starting spot, likely against Desire Doue and Maghnes Akliouche.
