According to recent reports from the Spanish media, Premier League Champions and UEFA Champions League runners up, Arsenal, are interested in two PSG stars.

Although the summer transfer window has, at long last, ended, there are still plenty of rumours flying around, and PSG are no exception to this particular rule.

Indeed not, as it is being reported by Spanish media outlet, Fichajes, via Transfer News Live, that Premier League side Arsenal are planning to sign a superstar attacking signing, and are targeting PSG forwards Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

They mention that they are prepared to make this signing as early as the January transfer window, and are considering moves for both players. Meanwhile, Eli Junior Kroupi - who has also been a target of PSG - is someone namechecked as an alternative if they are not attainable.

Well, there is nothing like wishful thinking, eh? Aim for the stars, and all of that. You can't fault the ambition, and most people would agree that Arsenal need at least one superstar forward, so from that point of view, it makes sense, and why not aim big?

However, this feels like a non starter. It would be nearly impossible to prize either player out of Paris. That said, from next summer, Kvaratskhelia will have two years remaining on his contract, so it would be wise for the club to begin new negotiations as soon as they possibly can.

As for Dembele, well he has two years on his contract now, so from next summer he would enter the final 12 months. However, a lot of noise in the media points to him being very happy, and that a new contract will be signed at some point. Once it is, this can most likely be put to bed pretty quickly.

Ultimately, there is not a better place for any player to play football at the moment. Although Bayern Munich are an incredibly good side, and perhaps the second best team in the world, the Parisians showed in the UEFA Champions League final that they are that one step ahead of them.

Likewise with Arsenal and the final. A great team themselves, but not quite as good as Luis Enrique's men, and that's fine. Whilst that is the case, and both players are getting regular game time (so a different case to the likes of Bradley Barcola), it is hard to imagine them leaving, unless they are forced out, which is also very hard to see.

So, as of right now, either player leaving feels very unlikely.
