According to fresh reports from French-based media, a PSG superstar is said to be attracted to a move to a huge club in the English Premier League.
Although there are still important games for PSG to play this season, followed by the small matter of a World Cup this summer, attention will nonetheless soon turn to the summer transfer window.
It will, as always, be interesting to see what the club does, both regarding incomings and outgoings.
One player who could be outgoing is winger Bradley Barcola. Indeed, as journalist Alexis Bernard of le10sport is reporting, Liverpool and the 23-year-old are "hotter than ever".
He also states that, back in the summer of 2025, the English side showed interest in Barcola, which gave the player and his entourage "food for thought", but he decided to stay in a World Cup year.
According to his report, Liverpool has begun to push "very hard" for the player, who himself is "very keen" to join the Reds in recent days. He also mentions that PSG would not stand in the way of a potential transfer.
Recently, it was suggested that, with just two years left on his contract this summer, the player's representatives had begun to sound out potential options away from the French capital, with the winger himself looking to move on.
Well, certainly interesting that different reports appear to be merging over Barcola wanting to leave PSG. It's easy to instinctively think, "Why would you want to leave this project?"
Ultimately, it most likely comes down to game time, or, in his eyes, a lack thereof. In Ligue 1 this season, the number 29 has started just 18 games. In that time, he has scored 10 goals and created ten big chances, in around 17.5 full games.
For balance, he has started 12 times in the UEFA Champions League, though he has come on as a substitute in all three European games, and is expected to start the final on the bench, as he did last season too.
So, although it is not like Barcola gets no game time at all, he could certainly get more minutes at another club, where he could be more of the "main man", for want of a better phrase.
It will be interesting to see how much of a role he plays for France at the World Cup. If he is a bit-part player, he may feel more incentivized to move elsewhere. If he is a regular starter, he may feel like his role at PSG is sufficient. Let's see.
