PSG targets Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, but faces competition from Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal for the British midfielder.
Paris Saint-Germain appears to join the list of candidates to sign Morgan Rogers, 23, an attacking midfielder for Aston Villa.
Rogers' value has skyrocketed in the Premier League, and to secure the Englishman's services, PSG will have to compete with the top bidders and pay around $125 million.
Rogers had maintained a low profile for a while, but now things have changed, and he is considered one of the best forwards in the English league in record time.
Unfortunately for PSG, they are not the only ones interested in acquiring Rogers' skills. According to TeamTalk, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal are already in the young man's sights.
However, among them, PSG and Bayern Munich appear to be the best-positioned candidates to reach a concrete agreement with the player.
Rogers is on PSG’s shortlist for this summer, alongside Bernardo Silva. The attacking midfielder from Manchester City might not end up at the Parc des Princes, though, as reports suggest there’s around an 80% chance he could join FC Barcelona instead.
For PSG, Rogers could be a good candidate to bolster their attack, as he has both technique and power. The advantage for the Parisian club is that it has sufficient capital to pay the required price if needed.
Even so, Aston Villa flatly refuses to sell Rogers for a low sum. So much so that, as the same outlet reports, they would be willing to block any transfer that does not meet their exorbitant financial demands.
The young Englishman signed a long-term contract with the Villa Park club last November, so the club has free rein in this matter and, since the contract does not include a release clause, it can impose whatever decisions it pleases.
It has also been reported that Aston Villa aims to set a new sales record of $125 million, and to justify this figure, the executives cite the transfer of Florian Wirtz as a reference.
According to TeamTalk, Rogers' market value is comparable to Wirtz's because both are young players with strong on-field presence.
Currently, in the 2025/26 season, Morgan Rogers has played 51 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing 8 assists.
