PSG coach Luis Enrique is set to rotate his squad heavily with an alternative starting lineup against Angers on Saturday, per reports.
Saturday night, PSG will go to Angers for Matchday 31 of Ligue 1. A match scheduled three days before hosting Bayern. Luis Enrique will rest many key players this weekend.
Matches are coming one after another every three to four days for Paris Saint-Germain. After Lyon on Sunday and Nantes on Wednesday, Angers joins the crazy schedule of the Parisians on Saturday night.
The trip to Angers precedes the Champions League semifinal first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Impossible for Enrique to field the same eleven twice in a row. Unsurprisingly, the match against the 13th-placed side in Ligue 1 will be played essentially with substitutes.
Le Parisien gives a precise idea of the eleven that Luis Enrique is likely to field at Angers. In attack, no member of the usual Dembele-Kvaratskhelia-Doue trio should start at Stade Raymond-Kopa.
The Ile-de-France outlet announces an experimental forward line made up of Kang-In Lee, Senny Mayulu, and Bradley Barcola. With Vitinha injured against Lyon, the trio of Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves, and Lucas Beraldo would be chosen in midfield. Something to put the Spaniard back in rhythm after his long injury.
Finally, the defense will no doubt be largely shaken up. Marquinhos will be rested after having played the Nantes match in its entirety. The Pacho-Zabarnyi duo is expected on the pitch in Anjou.
Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes will also rest in favor of Warren Zaire-Emery for the first and Lucas Hernandez for the second.
Even Matvey Safonov could give up his place on Saturday. Lucas Chevalier would then make his return in the Parisian goal, for the first time since January 23 last year at Auxerre.
PSG's predicted XI vs. Angers, according to Le Parisien: Chevalier; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Pacho, Hernandez; Neves, Beraldo, Ruiz; Lee, Mayulu, Barcola.
A brand new team, but minimal risk-taking for Luis Enrique. PSG has a four-point lead over Lens. Moreover, Angers has not won in five league matches and, above all, has never beaten PSG in its entire history.
