Ajax uses Jorge Mendes to negotiate Mika Godts' transfer to PSG. The Dutch club wants €65m, but PSG's offer is €45m.

Ajax are reportedly using the services of super agent Jorge Mendes to receive "top dollar" for Mika Godts, according to reports. The well-known Portuguese agent has the mandate, knows the minimum amount the Amsterdam club want to receive from PSG and is conducting the negotiations with the French club.

According to De Telegraaf, Mendes offered his services five months ago, works on a no-cure-no-pay basis and will only be paid if he secures the desired transfer fee.

Mendes' compatriot, Luis Campos (PSG's sporting advisor), made an opening offer of €40 million plus €5m on behalf of PSG, which was resolutely rejected by the Amsterdam club. How much they want to receive at minimum is still not known. But earlier, a total package of €60-65 million was mentioned, as per the cited outlet.

Godts, 21, is waiting. The Belgian left winger has, as his agent Niels De Jonck reported, a broad agreement with PSG on a contract until the summer of 2031 or 2032. The player is keen to make the move, but there's no agreement within the clubs as of yet.

Earlier this week, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that Ajax are indeed asking for €65 million, accepting only €15 million in add-ons.

Well, while Godts’ future is being decided, PSG officially announced the signing of Magnus Akliouche from AS Monaco on Thursday.

The French winger chose PSG over Liverpool, which was also very interested in signing him, and signed a five-year contract with the French capital club. According to reports, the deal was completed for €50 million.

The signing of Akliouche and the interest in Godts mainly respond to the already confirmed departures of Goncalo Ramos, who joined AC Milan, and Lee Kang-in, who signed with Atletico Madrid.

However, there are also reports that Bradley Barcola wants to leave the Paris club in search of a bigger role, with Liverpool best positioned to secure his signature.

It appears that the interest in Godts is mainly driven by Barcola’s potential departure, so we cannot rule out an additional striker signing by Luis Enrique’s side.

Initially, PSG wanted to sign now-former RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, but he ultimately joined Real Madrid.

The French capital club rejected the idea of paying an exorbitant fee for Diomande’s transfer, something Real Madrid did agree to do, as, according to reports from Sky Sport Germany, the Spanish club will end up paying a maximum of €140 million for the talented player. That is a figure far above the €65 million Ajax are asking for Godts.

Therefore, it appears that Paris’ sporting leadership is concentrating its efforts on securing the signing of the 21-year-old Belgian winger, but they have to move quickly because on Aug. 12, in just under a week, they face Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, the first major trophy at stake this season.
