Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in PSG defender William Pacho, according to reports. Ecuadorian centre-back was scouted in a recent Lille match.

Paris Saint-Germain, which is usually a protagonist in the transfer windows, will have to be careful in the upcoming ones, as William Pacho appears to be attracting interest from some major Premier League clubs.

PSG made a radical change to its squad this summer, although at first it didn't seem like there would be major changes. Head coach Luis Enrique will once again have to get his new players to work together and implement the system he likes so much, which has brought him so much success.

In any case, the Spanish manager can count on a solid team structure. Among the players who have Enrique’s trust the most is Pacho, the Ecuadorian centre-back who has already been performing at an extremely high level for Paris Saint-Germain for a couple of seasons, having won two UEFA Champions League titles.

As expected, the Parisian defender’s performances have not gone unnoticed abroad, particularly in the Premier League. According to reports from CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Manchester City are indeed interested in signing Pacho in the future. Both clubs reportedly scouted the Ecuadorian in PSG’s most recent match against Lille.

However, this would be a very complicated signing for the English clubs. PSG is not particularly known for selling its players unless the player formally requests to leave the club. As long as that is not the case, it seems there is no way for Arsenal and Manchester City to even tempt Pacho into leaving.

Keep in mind that the defender has just officially extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2031, meaning that, now more than ever, it will be difficult to get him out of the French capital.

Once again this season, Pacho will have a crucial role to play in Paris Saint-Germain’s most important matches. Although the Parisians’ start to the season has been very disappointing, it appears to be more a matter of physical difficulties than a question of quality or poor form.

Therefore, Pacho will have to stay focused and gradually improve his performances to return to winning ways and reestablish a positive dynamic within the Parisian squad.

Frankly, there has never been any doubt that the Ecuadorian will get there again. He's incredibly reliable and has Enrique's trust.

This week, PSG has two very important matches: first, at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League against Slovan Bratislava, then against Stade Brestois in Ligue 1.
