Liverpool are increasingly confident of signing PSG winger Bradley Barcola this summer. The French international has yet to extend his contract, and the Reds see an opportunity.

Bradley Barcola's future at PSG remains particularly uncertain, with negotiations over a contract extension still failing to produce an agreement. Given the situation, Liverpool is becoming increasingly confident about a positive outcome in a potential deal.

Currently at the World Cup with the French national team, Barcola made a successful start to his tournament by scoring his first goal in his first match. It came against Senegal in France's 3-1 victory. A dream interlude that allows him to focus on something other than his club future, which remains highly unclear.

Indeed, under contract with PSG until June 2028, the Lyon native has yet to extend his deal. The reason? Most likely, his desire to continue his career at a club that would allow him to take on an undisputed starting role and, in turn, benefit from even more playing time.

Because under Luis Enrique, he has been pushed into more of an option role, given the importance of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in his position. Enough to spark Liverpool's interest, as confirmed on Wednesday by the English tabloid The Mirror.

If he cannot obtain that guarantee of playing time at PSG, then Barcola will likely look to leave the French capital this summer. For several months, Liverpool has been closely monitoring the situation and is ready to move if an opportunity arises.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the French winger is indeed a priority for the Reds, who are reportedly quite confident in the case. The Mirror also reports that the possible arrival of Yan Diomande in Liverpool's attack would not block a move for Barcola, with Liverpool determined to strengthen in that area of the pitch.

It remains to be seen whether PSG can convince Barcola to stay or whether the club will have to sell him while his value is at its peak on the transfer market. A sale would logically not come at just any price, with Transfermarkt valuing him at $76 million, while the two-time European champions believe they can demand at least $16 million more to allow the former Lyon player to leave. And if he shines at the World Cup, that price could rise even further.
